Controls

  • It is recommended that you read the parameters beforehand. The controls described here are those that have some particular feature worth highlighting.
  • Some of the strategy controls may have their initial states defined by the On/Off state.
  • These controls allow the management and conduction of open positions, i.e., they refer to positions and can be turned on/off during the operation period.
  • Controls that do not have this state refer to operating periods, suspensions, number of entries, etc., and cannot be changed during the operating period.
  • An important point that requires attention refers to the state of the controls when making a manual entry.
  • In this situation, to avoid a possible closing of the position immediately after a manual entry, using the EnterLong or EnterShort controls,
  • the Auto, AutoExit, and PatternStop controls are turned off.
  • Once the position is closed, whether in manual mode or not, the states prior to the manual entry are restored.
  • It is essential to note, when making a manual entry, whether one of the StopLoss and Risk controls is On, avoiding possible significant losses.
Auto
  • When this control is set to Off, it blocks automatically generated inputs without interfering with the other On/Off controls.
Enter Long
  • If you are not in a position, execute a buy order.
  • The Auto, AutoExit, and PatternStop controls are set to OFF, preventing immediate exits from the new position.
  • When the position is closed, the controls return to their previous state prior to manual entry.
  • When turned off, it blocks automatic purchase entries, even with the Auto control set to On.
Enter Short
  • If you are not in a position, execute a sell order.
  • The Auto, AutoExit, and PatternStop controls are set to OFF, preventing immediate exits from the new position.
  • When the position is closed, the controls return to their previous state prior to manual entry.
  • When turned off, it blocks automatic sales entries, even with the Auto control set to On.
Close Position
  • Sends an order to close the position at the market price and switches Auto control to Off (discretionary operation mode).
AutoExit
  • AutoExit is a stop defined internally by the strategy based on the JFTSZones indicator, which can be triggered with both profits and losses.
  • If, in long positions, the JFTSZones indicator indicates a bearish region, the position will be closed. The reverse applies to short positions.
  • In certain situations it may be higher than desired, so it is always recommended to set an initial stop to On as a safety measure (StopLoss or RiskStop or Max.PnL).
    PatternStop(0) $0.00 0.00
    • PatternStop is a stop loss automatically set by the strategy based on the latest prices.
    • In certain situations it may be higher than desired, so it is always recommended to set an initial stop to On as a safety measure (StopLoss or RiskStop or Max.PnL).
    RiskStop(0) $0.00 %/$0.00
    • Stop defined by a percentage of the amount available in the current account or by the amount defined in the ‘Use this Cash Value’ parameter.
    • If ‘Use this Cash Value’ is zero, the amount to be used is the same as the ‘Account Cash Value’.
    CumPnL(0) M.Profit:$0 M.Loss :$0
    • CumPnL is the realized PnL + PnL of the current position.
    • M.Profit (Maximum Profit) is the profit sought during the entire trading period. If equal to 0, it is ignored.
    • M.Loss (Maximum Loss) is the maximum loss during the entire trading period. If equal to 0, it is ignored.
    • If the control is ON and one of the conditions is met, the position will be closed and all other functions will be blocked.
    • To resume trading, the strategy must be restarted.
    M.Entries(qte/max)
    • M.Entries (Maximum Entries) is the maximum number of entries during the operation period.
    • If equal to 0, it is ignored.
    • If the control is in the ON state, the condition is evaluated each time a position is closed. If the condition is met, all other functions are blocked.
    • To resume operation, the strategy must be restarted.
    Parameters
    Risk Disclosure:

Futures and forex trading contains substantial risk and is not for every investor. An investor could potentially lose all or more than the initial investment. Risk capital is money that can be lost without jeopardizing ones’ financial security or life style. Only risk capital should be used for trading and only those with sufficient risk capital should consider trading. Past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results.

    Hypothetical Performance Disclosure:

Hypothetical performance results have many inherent limitations, some of which are described below. No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profits or losses similar to those shown. In fact, there are frequently sharp differences between hypothetical performance results and the actual results subsequently achieved by any particular trading program. One of the limitations of hypothetical performance results is that they are generally prepared with the benefit of hindsight. In addition, hypothetical trading does not involve financial risk, and no hypothetical trading record can completely account for the impact of financial risk of actual trading. For example, the ability to withstand losses or to adhere to a particular trading program in spite of trading losses are material points which can also adversely affect actual trading results. There are numerous other factors related to the markets in general or to the implementation of any specific trading program which cannot be fully accounted for in the preparation of hypothetical performance results and all which can adversely affect trading results.
